About

Projects built on shared decisions, not surprises.

Caesarwood Projects is a Melbourne residential renovation builder, founded in 2019. Our focus is the working rooms of a home - bathrooms, kitchens, laundries, and custom cabinetry. Every project is delivered by one team, you, us, the trades, and an interior designer, all working toward the same outcome.

Every project is appropriately designed before construction begins, and expressly costed before contract. Throughout the design phase, we involve you in the journey of drawings, selections, and electrical layouts, all of which are certain prior to construction commencement. Any changes during construction will require your written sign-off. It’s how we make sure the renovation you sign up for is the renovation we build.

The Story

Built around the client, not just the outcome.

Caesarwood Projects was built on a simple operating principle: the renovation matters as much as the client experience. It’s a renovation business built around the client relationship, backed by operational discipline, not the other way around. The trades, the design partner, and us. Collaborating and working with you, rather than around you.

Principles

How we actually run a project.

These are the operating principles behind every Caesarwood project. They’re not aspirations - they’re how the work runs.

01

You are at the centre of the project

A renovation is a project, not a transaction. Since this is your home, every selection, decision, and direction, matters. We keep you across the scope, design, schedule, and the day-to-day. Consistent communication throughout is our obligation, and regular site updates is our standard.

02

Design built around how you live

A renovation only works if the design tailored for the people live in the home. It is non-negotiable that we engage an interior designer on every project. We stand by our approach to curate bespoke layouts and finishes, that incorporate functionality to consider your lifestyle. The result has to look right and live right. We hold to both.

03

Drawings before demolition

Every project is fully designed and drafted before construction begins. Plans, elevations, electrical layouts, and a complete selection schedule, are worked through in the design phase. By the time trades arrive on site, every decision is already made.

04

Trades are appointed for the standard of their work

The subcontractors on a Caesarwood project are selected for their high quality and reliability of their work. That standard is the foundation of how we deliver, and it’s why the work is built to last well beyond the statutory warranty period.

05

Variations are approved in writing, prior to incorporation

It’s not uncommon for unexpected conditions to arise during a renovation, that could not be foreseen at the time of quotation. When variations arise, they’re documented, substantiated, costed, and approved in writing by you, before further works proceeds. We take your approvals seriously, so that your expectations are reality.

06

Documented all the way

Each stage of the build is captured at key milestones by way of site photos and 360° visuals. Selections and variations are managed in writing. At handover, you receive the full documentation set, including the supporting compliance certificates, and relevant warranty disclosures. The records holds all stakeholders accountable, and ensures that information about the renovation is seamlessly transferable.

The Team

Meet the Directors.

K

Director

Kevin Nguyen

Kevin founded Caesarwood Projects in 2019. His background is mechanical engineering, which shows up in how he runs projects - drawings, documentation, discipline around assumptions, nothing improvised. He came into renovations through a joinery-and-cabinetry supply operation working with builders across Melbourne, which built the trade relationships and the operational instincts that run through Caesarwood today. Kevin stays across every Caesarwood project, because every job carries the company’s name and every client matters.

J

Director

Jonathan

Jonathan is Caesarwood’s second director. His background is in commercial project management, with extensive experience on both the builder side and the client side of large construction projects. He brings the operational discipline that runs through every Caesarwood job - scheduling, documentation, scope management - and the lens of someone who’s seen what works and what doesn’t from inside both perspectives. (Final bio pending Jonathan’s interview input.)

Get Started

Let’s talk about your renovation.

Every Caesarwood project starts with a conversation - on site if it suits, on the phone if it doesn’t. We listen, walk through what you’re planning, and tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit for the job.
